Deep plane facelift and necklift

Nothing is lost, nothing is created, and nothing is transformed.

As one of the few plastic surgeons who use the Deep plane facelift in Beirut, Dr Zogheib believes that no injectable treatment or non-invasive procedure can accomplish what a good face and neck lift can. He emphasizes that the results are more natural, longer-lasting, visibly noticeable, and often more cost-effective.

The normal aging process is rewound 10 to 15 years, depending on the age where the procedure is done.

The fat and muscle compartments of the face are repositioned at their previous positions, so the changes are usually not attributed to surgery, but rather a good daily skincare routine or being very well-rested.

A deep plane facelift involves repositioning the robust layer containing the facial muscles known as SMAS. This technique reduce tension on the skin, thereby preventing the typical signs that often follow superficial facelifts. Additionally, scars from this procedure tend to heal exceptionally well without widening.

There is no ideal age for a facelift. However there’s an ideal timing: when the jowls (skin and fat under the mouth hanging below the jaw) and the marionette lines start to show. This is the first irreversible sign of aging.

Facelifts normally treat:

  • Generalized skin laxity

  • Jowls - marionette lines

  • Nasolabial fold (to a lesser extent)

Facelifts can be associated with a neck lift to treat:

  • Excess skin laxity and fat in the neck

  • Loss of definition in the jawline

  • Muscle vertical bands
