Nipple Areola reconstruction

It’s the final step in a breast reconstruction, without which the breast looks incomplete.

We generally leave 6 months between the final procedure to allow breast mound descent into its final position.

    • The nipple is reconstructed with a local rearrangement of tissues (local flap) to restore the three-dimensional shape of the nipple.

    • The areola is reconstructed with the help of our accredited medical tattoo artists

    • The areola is reconstructed with a skin graft taken from the inner thigh which will darken over 3 months

    • The nipple and areola can be inked on the breast using three-dimensional techniques of shading and coloring

    • Women may opt to go for a cover-up tattoo over the breast mound
